What Type of Juvederm Do I Need?

juvederm

While aging may make you wiser, it doesn’t do any favors for your skin. If you feel less confident in your appearance due to lines, wrinkles, or volume loss, there is a solution. At Rejuvené MD, located in El Paso, TX, we are proud to offer Juvederm as a way to restore a youthful appearance to your face, remove lines, correct folds and sagging skin, and temporarily restore volume where it has been lost due to the aging process.

Which Juvederm Formulation Is Right for Me?

The type of Juvederm you need depends entirely on your face, how the aging process has affected you, and your aesthetic goals. You may benefit from one or more of these dermal fillers. A consultation with one of our skincare experts is the best way to determine which of these formulations will best meet all of your goals.

What Are Dermal Fillers?

Unlike other cosmetic injectables like neurotoxins that freeze muscles to reduce dynamic wrinkles due to repetitive muscular movements, dermal fillers add volume between the surface of the skin, also called the epidermis, and the dermis, which is the deeper layer of the skin. Volume loss occurs as a result of the aging process, and dermal fillers temporarily restore that volume with moisturizing, plumping ingredients like hyaluronic acid.

The Importance of Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is the primary ingredient in all of these fillers. It is a naturally occurring substance in the body and is responsible for hydrating the skin as well as keeping it voluminous. It provides tissues with moisture, helps those tissues retain that moisture, and keeps them moist. As the aging process occurs, hyaluronic acid production decreases and, as a result, the skin begins to suffer and develops sagging, drooping folds, and wrinkles.

You may own a topical hyaluronic acid that you apply each day externally. The injectable version of hyaluronic acid is inserted into the skin and works from the inside out. With dermal fillers, synthetic hyaluronic acid constructed almost identically to the natural version is injected back into the skin. Results are long-lasting because the formulation is so close to the natural version of hyaluronic acid. As a result, the body does not metabolize it as quickly as it would otherwise.

Why Juvederm?

There are many different dermal fillers on the beauty market today that are effective ways to treat the signs of aging, so you may be wondering why you should choose Juvederm el paso. This collection of dermal fillers is used all over the world and has many advantages that make it an effective option to treat a multitude of problematic skin concerns that result from the aging process.

It’s Fast-Acting

You won’t have to wait days for results; you’ll see them immediately after the administration of your injections.

It’s Long-Lasting

Unlike wrinkle creams and serums that take weeks of application and daily use to provide results, these Juvederm dermal fillers provide results that last anywhere from one to two years.

It Contains Lidocaine

If you are nervous about needles, you can rest assured that not only are the injectable needles ultra-thin, but many of the formulations in this collection of fillers contain lidocaine, a pain killer, which provides you with optimal comfort during and after your injection.

The Five Different Juvederm Formulations

This entire family of dermal fillers consists of five different fillers, each of which is formulated a little bit differently to provide the best results to the area treated. This collection gives you the option to correct problematic aging issues in the cheeks, lips, and areas that have begun to develop lines as a result of a decrease in the production of elasticity and collagen.

There is a formulation that addresses sagging cheeks, removes fine lines, and treats nasolabial folds as well as other creases and folds in the face. Another formulation augments the lips, increasing their fullness and smoothing out vertical lip lines that form around the mouth. You can treat one area or multiple areas of your face, depending on your needs. Whatever your concern, this collection has a filler that will effectively treat that concern and restore a youthful glow.

A Formulation to Treat the Cheeks

As aging occurs, the cheeks begin to lose volume, a condition known as mid-face volume loss. This collection of fillers has one specific formulation uniquely designed to restore volume to the cheeks and correct areas that have taken on a hollow appearance as a result of a natural decrease in collagen production. This dermal filler is called the Voluma XC formulation.

What Does It Do?

The Voluma XC formulation treats cheeks that have lost volume, flattened, and started to sag. When injected into the cheeks, this formulation inserts hyaluronic acid beneath the surface of the skin that lifts the cheeks, adds volume, and contours the entire area, creating a more youthful appearance. This formulation is beneficial because there aren’t any serums and creams that can address sagging, drooping skin quite as effectively as this can.

How Long Do Results Last?

The benefit of these dermal fillers is that the results are long-lasting. Once injected with these fillers, you will experience immediate, visible results and those results will last up to two years with optimal treatment. This is a very long time to enjoy results, especially since there aren’t topical products to enhance the cheeks. Once your results have begun to fade, you can simply return for follow-up visits as needed and regain your youthful, long-lasting glow once again.

Am I a Candidate for Voluma XC?

If you have begun to notice that your cheeks aren’t as full and youthful as they used to be, or you are currently noticing that your cheeks have begun to flatten, droop, or sag as a result of the aging process, you may be a candidate for this particular filler. During your initial consultation, one of our skincare experts will analyze your face and help determine if the Voluma XC formulation is right for you and your skincare needs.

Formulations That Target Fine Lines

There are two different dermal filler formulations that target fine lines and add volume as a way to erase them: the Vollure XC formulation and the XC formulation. The Vollure XC formulation treats moderate to severe wrinkles and folds in the face, including smile lines and parentheses lines that form around the nose and mouth. They will help smooth the skin, correct folds and lines, and create a more youthful appearance of the face.

How Long Do Results Last?

Both of these formulations provide you with instant, immediate, long-lasting results. You will walk in with lines and facial folds and walk out with plump, voluminous skin that has a much smoother appearance. Results from the Vollure XC formulation last up to 18 months with optimal treatment, while results from the XC formulation last up to 12 months with optimal treatment.

Am I a Candidate for Vollure XC or the XC Formulation?

The best way to determine whether you are a candidate for the formulations that treat lines and facial folds is through an initial consultation. However, if lines and facial folds are your primary concern, it is likely that one of these two formulations will give you the results that you’re hoping to achieve. We will be able to analyze your lines and folds during an in-person consultation and help you determine which of these two formulations is right for you.

Formulations That Treat the Lips

If you want to augment your lips and increase their size, there is a dermal filler from this collection that will do just that. There are two different filler formulations that treat the lips and the surrounding area: the Volbella XC formulation and the Ultra XC formulation. Both of these are injectable gels that add fullness to the lips. The Volbella XC formulation also treats the vertical, perioral lines that form around the mouth, which are very hard to treat with creams.

The Ultra XC formulation, in addition to adding fullness to the lips, is also able to treat parentheses lines, which are the smile lines that form around the nose and mouth. It can reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds as well. One of the main benefits of both of these formulations is that they contain lidocaine as one of their primary ingredients. This is beneficial because it is a painkiller, so it helps alleviate any discomfort during and after the injection process.

How Long Do Results Last?

Both of these particular formulations provide long-lasting results. The Volbella XC formulation and the Ultra XC formulation both provide results that last up to one year with optimal treatment. This means that you won’t have to waste any more time and money on lip-plumping glosses and devices or spend time over-lining your lips in an attempt to make them look bigger than they really are. With these fillers, you’ll get natural-looking lips that are full and beautiful.

Am I a Candidate for the Volbella XC or Ultra XC Formulation?

If you have thin lips, whether due to genetics or your lips thinning with the aging process, or you have perioral lines, you will benefit from one of these formulations designed to treat the lips. The best way to determine which one of these two would be the most effective formulation to give you the results that you are looking for is through an initial consultation. Our injectors are experts and will be able to determine which formulation is right for your lips.

How Will I Know Which Filler Formulation Is Right for Me?

You can always make a conjecture regarding which Juvederm formulation is right for you, but nothing is concrete until you have an initial consultation. Our injectors are experts and are skilled at their craft, which is the art of injecting. They are familiar with facial anatomy and may see something that you don’t. During your initial consultation, you will undergo a facial analysis where your injector will provide you with a customized treatment plan that best suits you.
